MESSAGES FROM THE

COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIRMAN

The Traveling Vietnam Wall came to Garden Grove, Oct. 7 and the Garden Grove Lodge #620 volunteered to help visitors find their loved ones.

Thanks to Gov. Mike Kuhl, Jr. PG Keith Robinson, Prelate Leonard Chapman and SAA Chris Tiscareno who helped with those looking for names on the Wall. This was a community service project for our lodge and for us a very  humbling experience.

Keith Robinson reading the names of the "41" Garden Grove who made

 the supreme sacrifice.

L to R. Jr. PG Keith Robinson, Gov. Mike Kuhl, Prelate Leonard Chapman, and SAA Chris Tiscareno.

This photo speaks for itself!

We are still accepting clothing for the people at H.O.P.E., they support the abused women and children of Garden Grove. If you have small toys, new or in good condition, it would make the children smile!

Thank you for all that you have done for a great cause.... "

Comm. Service Chairman

ADOPT A SOLDIER

Jason

COMMUNITY SERVICE IN ACTION

Garden Grove Lodge #620 presented "Tommy Moose" to the Westminster CHP in March. Trustee Mike Kuhl explaining the "Tommy Moose" program to CHP officer. Several Tommy Moose were presented for the department to use as a calming tool for trauma scenes.

Community Service Taking care of our Children, Seniors and Communities

Through countless hours and personal expenses, many Moose members and Co-workers spend time on a regular basis. Time spent in volunteer service at local hospitals, police departments, health fairs, senior citizens center, taking care of those in need, raising money for those in need and the list goes on and on. . . . Recognize those that do go beyond the norm.

As there are Brothers  Co-Workers that have gone the extra miles in Community Service. We would like to recognize them for their commitment to Children, Seniors and/or the Community.

If you have a Community Service Story that goes far and beyond that deems recognition, we may use on the web. All information and photo’s will become property of the webmaster. Let’s show those that go the extra mile we appreciate all that they do for the Moose and mankind.

Please E-mail: Complete story, history, names etc. and photos to
WebMaster.

This Moose International Award for Community Service was richly deserved by the hard work and generous giving of the members of Garden Grove #620 Moose Lodge, Garden Grove, California

LOOM / WOTM Needs Your Help !!!

The Message is Membership Membership Membership!!!

“It’s a New Year!   Both the LOOM and WOTM need new members in order to make lodge and chapter honors for 2011/2012. Now is the time to sign-up and enroll that new member. You already know about our fraternity and the good we do for Mooseheart and Moosehaven.

Your help is needed to bring in new members.  Be sure to explain to a potential member all the benefits they can enjoy as a Moose member.  As a member they can save money at motels/hotels across the nation, car rentals, car insurance, Sherwin-Williams paint, drug prescriptions and many other benefits. In fact, most of these benefits would save more money than you would pay for your yearly membership card. So sign-up that new member and make 620 and  1117  proud”.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are members of the Moose Legion. Your Legion membership supports many programs at Mooseheart. You also support one of my favorite programs, "Camp Ross" where the kids get a chance to "get away" and enjoy the camp and all that it offers. The Legion is now a "higher degree of service", and the next step to the "Fellowship, and Pilgrim Degree".

For those of you who have not advanced to the Legion and are eligible, please think about joining us, we are the "degree of service"."

Thank you....

Leonard Chapman

President Legion #203

One more time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the “Moose Angels” that helped make my “Scarf Drive” for  the children at Mooseheart and the Family Involvement Project such a success!  From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Ann, Pat, Becki, Beverly, Rachel, Darlene, Betty, Mary Jane, Paula and Roland. Also, a big thank you to Noelle for all of the shipping.
